Northern Tanzania Camping Safari: 6 days / 5 nights tour of Manyara/ Serengeti/ Ngorongoro

Day one: ARUSHA /  LAKE MANYARA
 The tour starts with lunch in Arusha town at 1230hrs. Depart by 1330hrs for Lake Manyara where you will enjoy an evening
game drive in the National Park  - whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing
lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife.

Day two: LAKE MANYARA / SERENGETI
Depart for  Serengeti National Park with picnic lunches and upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of
the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging
in the shade. Dinner and overnight under tents in the Serengeti

Day three: SERENGETI
Your full day is spent game viewing in the Serengeti National Park.  'Serengeti'  is Maasai language for 'endless plains'. This world famous park is as big as Northern Ireland, but its ecosystem, which includes the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and the Maasai Mara Game reserve (in Kenya).

Day four:  SERENGETI / NGORONGORO
Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned
archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Picnic
lunches will be served at the Gorge. Proceed  to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day five:  NGORONGORO / KARATU
Today you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore
the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos
and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Return to your camp for lunch in teh afternoon. After lunch, drive
to Karatu for dinner and overnight under tents.

Day six: KARATU / ARUSHA
 After breakfast, drive back to Arusha arriving for lunch.
